Description
This practical workshop is designed for literacy leaders and teaching staff who want to strengthen reading, writing and oracy across the curriculum.
The session will explore:
• Disciplinary literacy and the specific reading and writing demands of different subjects
• Strategies for developing tier 2 and tier 3 vocabulary
• Approaches to improving reading fluency and comprehension
• Practical ways to create a stronger whole-school reading culture
• How literacy can be embedded consistently across different curriculum areas
Participants will leave with practical strategies that can be applied across subjects to improve pupils’ confidence, independence and access to the curriculum.
